I have backpacked Cambodia in 1990 the first time I was near the border finally to reside in my room ready for the morning and to cross the giant Mekong. Cocks crowed at 6.00am and I woke showered and skipped breakfast only water was available at that time so I then took the earliest boat across waiting ten minutes I was on the river boat gliding across the currents watching Cambodia get nearer and also Laos fading away. The following images were taken during 1990 the Capital City down south was ready to open its first mobile phone shop there wasn’t much in the city at that time, stone heads had been stolen from the red museum. These are images of the City of Siem Reap just after the Kramer Rouge regime opened fire on us few approaching the fishing villages from the south yes they didn’t like tourists.
